Two teens were arrested Saturday night after a fight at the Columbia County Fair.

Columbia County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a fight in progress near the funnel cake stand toward the front of the fairgrounds. As deputies approached the scene, they say two people fled on foot. Deputies stepped in and a 17-year-old stopped fighting in order to cooperate with authorities, but the 18-year-old continued to fight, according to the incident report. Deputies on the scene say the older teen punched and pushed them in his efforts to continue fighting the younger teen.

Deputies say the fight stopped after a taser was deployed, successfully subduing the 18-year-old. Both suspects were evaluated by medical crews before being taken to Columbia County Detention Center on charged of fighting. The 18-year-old was also charged with felony obstruction of law enforcement.
