RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WFXG) - It’s called Operation “No loyalty”, major initiative through the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office to dismantle and prosecute dangerous drug trafficking organizations and criminal street gangs in the community.

Through the operation, multiple agencies in the CSRA worked together to secure the indictment of 30 individuals in Richmond County who are alleged to be associated with criminal street gang, Trap Money (TRVPMONEYY).

“As part of operation no loyalty our law enforcement officers have recovered over 60 firearms and we’ve seized over 15 pounds of fentanyl which is enough to kill 3.5 million people,” said Attorney General Chris Carr.

The indictment alleges a pattern of criminal activity involving the trap money street gang, over a two-year period.

It details not only narcotics offenses, but also several violent crimes including plans to commit murder, shooting a firearm in a home, shooting at deputies, stolen firearms, and armed robbery.

Together the 30 individuals are facing more than 300 charges overall.

Carr says, “Families in Georgia who are afraid to sit out on their front porch steps at night, who reside in communities where violence and gang activity occur day in and day out, who just want to live their lives in peace and free from fear of violence. and that's why I will continue to use the full force of the law to combat gang activity wherever it occurs and it's why we will never stop fighting to keep all Georgians safe.”

The indictment also details a rivalry between Trap Money and another street gang known as Loyalty Over Everything—resulting in multiple deaths.

Richmond County Sherriff Richard Roundtree says this operation would not be possible without the help of the agencies in the CSRA.

“Communities in this area and across the state of Georgia are safer as a result of this joint operations. I could not be more proud of the men and women of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, and I could not be more grateful to our state local and federal parties,” said Roundtree.

22 of the 30 individuals are in custody in the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office while authorities are searching for the other eight.
