5PM UPDATE: Hurricane Michael pushes inland; Heavy rain, wind, and tornado threat moves into the CSRA

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - 5PM UPDATE: Michael has weakened to a Category 3 hurricane with winds of 125 mph. The storm is moving north-northeast at 16 mph. Tropical storm warnings and flash flood watches are in effect for all of the CSRA through Thursday. Expected impacts from the storm in the CSRA are below.

IMPACTS TO THE CSRA:

- RAIN: 3-6 inches of rain or more are possible Wednesday night into Thursday. Widespread flooding is not expected at this time but flash flooding is possible if heavy rain falls in a short amount of time.

- WIND: Tropical storm force winds (greater than 40 mph) are expected Wednesday night through Thursday. Winds will likely top out in the 30-40 mph range with gusts of 50-60+ mph.

- TORNADOES: Tornadoes are possible late Wednesday and Thursday, especially to the north and east of the track of the storm.
