AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left one person hurt at the Augusta Mall on Independence Day.

Officials say deputies responded to the scene on Wrightsboro road at 3:38 p.m. We're told the injured man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Viewers tell us as of 4:06 p.m. the mall was on lockdown. Our reporter spoke with a mall employee on scene, who says they heard gunshots inside.
