AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) – The city of Augusta is gearing up to celebrate the Fourth of July with an Independence Day celebration at Augusta Common.

The event will be fun for the whole family, featuring live entertainment, a fun zone for kids, food trucks, vendors, and fireworks. The celebration is free and begins at 5 p.m., with fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m.

In Columbia County, the Evans Towne Center Park will host the county's "Boom in the Park" event. Gates open at 5 p.m., and attendees can enjoy live music, food, and a brand-new laser show, all capped off with fireworks. Organizers encourage attendees to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities.

Meanwhile, in Aiken, a celebration will take place at The Village at Woodside from 7 to 10 p.m. The event will include live music, food trucks, and a fireworks show hosted by The Reserve Club.
