AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - A few areas in the CSRA will soon see new solar lights. At Tuesday's Augusta-Richmond County commission meeting, officials approved the installation of solar lights in several locations.

The areas include Windsor Spring Road between Meadowbrook Drive and Crosscreek Road, and parts of Wrightsboro Road.

Fox54 spoke with John Ussery, the assistant director for traffic and engineering in Augusta, who emphasized the need for lighting in those areas.

"We are going to install them on Windsor Spring Road and Wrightsboro Road. We will see how they work, watch them, and test them after we put them in. If it's a good fit and a good experience, then we will probably install more in Augusta," Ussery said.

The first set of lights will be placed on Windsor Spring Road in about a month.
