AUGUSTA, Ga. - The red carpet was rolled out for the three time basketball state champions. The Westside High School Men's Basketball Team, got their championship rings for the third time in a row.

In March, Westside beat Toombs County 64-29 in Macon for their third state championship in a row.

Head Coach Jerry Hunter said its been a waiting game itself for the rings but is happy the boys finally could be celebrated the right way.

"Once again it's a beautiful celebration to actually reap the benefits from the hard work. Back to back to back first time every in the City of Augusta and we dedicate this one to the city," said Coach Hunter.

The cheerleaders were also recognized for all of their hard work this season.

The ceremony ended with the symbolic net cutting.
