AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - The Augusta Mall closed for the day Sunday, April 28 after shots were fired inside. Law enforcement is now looking for two people, wanted for questioning in relation to the investigation.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, the call came in at 1:43 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies responded to 3450 Wrightsboro Road in reference to the shots fired. They learned the shooting happened in Dillard's.

Upon arrival, they were informed the suspect had fled the scene and the victim had left before police arrived. Deputies said they later learned the victim had driven themselves to a local hospital for treatment.

The Augusta Mall will remain closed for the remainder of the day and plans to resume normal business hours on Monday, April 29.

Law enforcement is looking for the public's help in identifying two people, wanted for questioning in relation to the aggravated assault that happened at the mall Sunday.
