AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WFXG) - UPDATE (4/19/24): The Aiken County Sheriff's Office confirms Bryan Hampton Jr. turned himself into investigators Friday. He was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Aiken County Sheriff Michael Hunt confirms law enforcement is looking for a second suspect, wanted in connection to the death of Jamilla Smith.

Bryan Alexander Hampton, Jr., 35, of Augusta, is wanted for accessory after the fact to murder.

Investigators are asking the community for any information that could lead to Hampton's arrest.

Hampton is 6 foot, 2 inches, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Law enforcement confirms Hampton has ties to Augusta, Georgia and Aiken County.

In December 2023, authorities arrested a suspect in connection to the Jamilla Smith death investigation.

Daniel Gabriel Harmon was arrested and charged with murder.

He was taken into custody December 5 on Carpentersville Road for an outstanding arrest warrant after a standoff with Aiken County deputies. Harmon was charged with domestic violence in the 2nd degree.

Harmon was later charged with kidnapping in connection to Smith's disappearance.
