BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WFXG) - The Burke County Sheriff's office announced speed cameras will soon be installed at the Highway 25 bypass near the school zone.

This decision comes in response to a significant number of traffic violations reported in the area, according to officials with the Burke County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office says many of those violations happen during the school day.

Fox54 has learned that these speed cameras will be operational solely during school hours and are intended to uphold the designated 45-mile-per-hour speed limit during this timeframe.
