Residents in one Richmond County community are still in shock about the Monday night homicide in their neighborhood and police chase that law enforcement is calling a murder-suicide.

A quiet neighborhood saw a busy night with police and EMS presence blocking the road on Algernon Circle in Hephzibah Monday evening.

46 year old female, Latoya Price, was shot and killed in her home.

Residents of Algernon Circle are still processing yesterday’s scene of lights and sirens in their neighborhood.

“I'm shocked. I'm still shocked because this is a quiet neighborhood. I never thought something like that would happen this close to home,” Lashaundra Reeves.

Other residents we spoke to say this is the last thing they expected to happen so close to home.

Just hours after the homicide investigation began, a police chase came to an end along the 3100 block of Washington Road.

The man troopers and deputies were pursuing was 46 year old Tarance Revell, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Revell was wanted for questioning in Price’s death.

We checked in with several businesses along Washington Road where the chase came to an end but no one we spoke with would talk about last night's incident.

This investigation is ongoing and we will have more information as it becomes available.
