AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - Here’s a conversation you’ll have at least once while at the Masters Tournament: the next champion. It’s all in the name Tuesday: practice round number two and two days until round one - meaning the anticipation is only growing!

Come Sunday, we’ll know who wins the 2024 edition of the Masters Tournament. But until then, golf isn’t the only game being played. It’s also about: who ya got?

"Obviously looking out for Tiger, but I think Scottie is going to be the one to take it home this week.” said Trey Shanks, Patron.

"You’re missing if you’re not looking for Scottie Scheffler. He’s pretty dangerous around here.” said Carlton Shoaf, Patron.

"I was also going to go Rory because I just think it’s his time. He deserves it.” said Annie Shanks, Patron.

However, there’s a reason the green is held to a high standard. Even patrons and legends know, at times, it could be anybody’s game.

"It’s hard to say – because this is the mecca of all the golfers in the world,” said Kris Hayden, Patron.

"hat's one of the reasons why you see players that are in their 50s and 60s make cuts here, or it's players in their late 40s have runs at winning the event, just the understanding of how to play it." said Tiger Woods.

Golfers already noting some changes on the course ahead of storms this week.

"I think right now with the greens being a little firm you definitely have to be able to hit like higher iron shots and be able to stop it into greens into small sections. Because the thing is, when it's windy out there you kind of want to hit a little lower shot into some of those greens, but if the greens get firm, they're bouncing too far." said Viktor Hovland.

Tiger showed a determined attitude Tuesday - hoping to push through the pain and secure his sixth jacket.

"As far as my physicality on certain shots, every shot that's not on a tee box is a challenge (smiling). So, yeah, once we start the hole, it's a bit of a challenge." said Woods.

A final practice round happens Wednesday as well as the Par 3 Contest.
