Thomson, Ga - On a normal Saturday morning, workers of four Thomson restaurants came to work like any other day. Quickly they discovered shattered windows, kicked down doors, and cash drawers missing.

The McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office confirmed these burglaries happened over night at Dunkin Donuts, Tasty Wings, Viva Villa, and Dairy Queen.

They say none of the businesses reported the incidents until Saturday morning.

Just one of those businesses was tasty wings. The co-owner, Cici Li, says she saw one person on their surveillance video break into the restaurant.

‘’When I came in the store, we see the glass like my window glass all broken so we found a video we see that some people come in my store and take my money tray,” said Li.

She added that several hundred dollars was missing from their register.

Dairy Queen had a similar story.

The owner said when his workers came in Saturday morning, both of the drive thru windows were broken and both drawers from the registers was missing totaling 1800 dollars.

DQ workers are nervous that the burglar will come back.

“It been breaking out today, got to keep on putting them back up, I’m scared they going to come here while I’m here,” said DQ worker, Jahlexiana Grissom.

After looking at surveillance footage, the DQ owner says he believes the burglary happened around 2:30 am.

Viva Villa was also a victim of the Washington road burglaries.

The manager said it was going to cost more to fix their entry door than what was stolen out of their register.

Dunkin donuts did not have a comment at this time.

FOX54 is still reaching out to the Sheriff’s Office to get more information on a suspect. We will update you as we work to learn more.
