AUGUSTA, Ga. - An Augusta mom and her kids, nicknamed "Little D" and "Big D" are celebrating ten years of serving up giant cookies, decadent cakes and smiles to the CSRA.

In the pink house on the corner, they call the owner of Dolce Darlin' Bakery "Miss Darlin'".

"When you leave, I deeply want you to feel better than when you came in," owner Cat Musgrove said.

The blueberry scones will have you coming in every morning. They would go great on a Sunday morning with your cup of coffee.

Eat a bite in these themed rooms only dolly herself would approve of.

"It is southern class, and southern sass and finding the family that you choose, getting through the hard times," Miss Darlin' said.

Their cool, fluffy banana pudding took time to perfect.

"Lots of Nilla wafers in there. So many. More than is appropriate probably," Miss Darlin' laughed.

Every week, there's a new flavor of cake. Miss Darlin' told FOX54 her key ingredients.

"Love and joy and hope for humanity. That's it. No calories at all," she smiled.

It's the same hope she was once praying hard for in her own tough times.

"God, please don't open the door, knock that guy off its hinges. I am not in a place where I would be able to see a subtle sign," she said.

Now, she's turning those tough times around to smiles for everyone that comes in the door.

"If you did have a bad day, I want to turn it around for you," she smiled.

Dolce Darlin' Bakery opens early at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday mornings.

Mark your calendars, they'll celebrate a decade of Darlin' Saturday, November 18 with everything pink from 10 a.m. to noon.

Come back with us next week as we Eat. Play. Go. our way through the CSRA!
