UPDATE: 4-year-old dead two weeks after being shot in his home; two charged with murder
RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. - UPDATE: Richmond County Sheriff's Office says two have been charged with murder following the shooting death of a child in their care.
Investigators were previously told the 4-year-old had possibly shot himself in a home on Murphy Rd. on November 12th. Nearly two weeks later, on November 27th, the child died at the hospital as a result of his injuries sustained in the shooting.
Brittany Ryans and Ladarion Ryans have been charged with murder. Ladarion Ryans has now been located by RCSO and taken into custody.
UPDATE: Richmond County Coroner's Office says 4-year-old Zykee Ryans has died.
Ryans died on November 25th at the hospital, nearly two weeks after the shooting incident at his home.
Richmond County Sheriff's Office asks the public to help locate a 19-year-old in reference to an incident that involved a child being shot in the head.
Ladarion Christopher Ryans is said to be armed and dangerous. He is described as 5'8" in height and 175 pounds.
According to RCSO, the child was found at 11:00 Sunday night with what may have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound. One woman was taken into custody and charged with five counts of cruelty to children in the second degree.
The 4-year-old boy was taken to a hospital for treatment. No word on his condition.
