AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. - Aiken County Sheriff's Office confirms units are on the scene at Midland Valley High School, but students are being released from the campus.

ACSO says after 3PM, a witness reported seeing a person jumping a fence and running away from the school, carrying what appeared to resemble a rifle. Deputies on the scene have not been able to find a weapon, but did find students apparently skipping class.
