Teen charged with murder in death of Woodcrest Dr. man

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has arrested an Augusta teen for the shooting death of a man on Woodcrest Dr.
Shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to the 2700 block of Woodcrest Dr. in Augusta for a reported shooting, When they arrived, deputies found thirty-year-old William David Wolf suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS took Wolf to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation led the sheriff's office to arrest sixteen-year-old Bernard Correy Freeman, Jr. for Wolf's murder. The sheriff's office is charging Freeman as an adult with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The investigation is still ongoing.
