AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - A man is in custody after allegedly threatening Richmond County Board of Education police officers on the campus of Glenn Hills High School.

A report by the police department details the disruption, stating Tasleem Mitchell's daughter was involved in a fight during school dismissal near the car rider pick-up point. Officers say they broke up the fight between students, before Tasleem and Nancy Mitchell began shouting verbal threats to the officers.

The report further states the pair continued their threats as Mr. Mitchell appeared to be retrieving a suspected weapon from their vehicle. It is alleged that he resisted arrest and continued to kick, spit, and yell at the officer during transport to the Richmond County Jail.

Mitchell is charged with disruption and interference with a school, simple assault on an officer, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer. His case has been turned over to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
