AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has released a crash report describing what they say happened Saturday, May 13 when a firefighter ran over a person who'd been shot.

According to the report, the first responder was on the scene of the mass shooting on Sandbar Ferry Road. Saturday. He reportedly was leaving to scene to go to another area where people were reportedly injured. The first responder says he could not see the body of Germayne Farrell lying in the parking lot because the truck's hood and fender blocked his view. Farrell was already determined to be dead before being struck by the vehicle.

The truck reportedly dragged Farrell's body fifty-one feet with the truck.
