4 arrested for assault of teen, drug charges
AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WFXG) - An investigation into the assault of a teenager in Aiken County has led to several arrests and the seizure of illegal drugs.
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office says the 17-year-old was assaulted on Jan. 3, 2023. Just over a week later, on Jan. 11, investigators executed search warrants on Edisto Dr. in North Augusta and Swamp Rd. in Beech Island. During the investigation, law enforcement identified thirty-six-year-old Patrick Stevens of North Augusta and thirty-two-year-old Derrick Lydale Nixon of Beech Island as suspects in that assault.
During the search of those two locations, investigators seized more than two pounds of marijuana, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, anabolic steroids, fentanyl, and several firearms. Investigators were able to arrest four suspects during those searches:
Patrick Omar Stevens - charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, kidnapping, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, violation of drug distribution law, 4 counts of possession of a controlled substance (Dextroamphetamine, Concerta and Vyvanse), possession of anabolic steroids 100 doses or more, possession of fentanyl, possession with the intent to distribute near a school, and unlawful neglect of a child
Derrick Nixon - charged with pointing and presenting a firearm
Rickey Drayton – charged with 2 counts of possession of cocaine 1st offense, operating a stash house, and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana 1st offense
Raquel Stevens - possession of anabolic steroids 100 doses or more, possession of fentanyl, violation of drug distribution law, possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance near a school, and unlawful neglect of a child
