AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - The City of Augusta and the local branch of the NAACP are celebrating the life and legacy of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with the city's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. parade.

The 2023 parade will take place Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. It starts at Dyess Park Community Center on James Brown Blvd. and will move south on James Brown Blvd. then west onto Wrightsboro Rd., north on Augusta Ave., east onto Laney Walker Blvd., then north onto 11th St. to Johnson Motors.
