UPDATE: 23-year-old found dead in vehicle near Riverview Activity Center in North Augusta
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (UPDATE) - North Augusta Public Safety say they got a call to 100 Riverview Park Dr. around 11 p.m Wednesday night. There, they met with a woman who says she was looking at deer when she notice a blue Sedan in the woods. The officer walked to the running vehicle with the woman. They found 23-year-old Kevon Duane Carlisle in the driver seat unresponsive.
EMS arrived on scene and advised officers that Carlisle was deceased. EMS located a small caliber bullet hole in the right side of Carlisle's chest. The Coroner was called to the scene, along with North Augusta Criminal Investigation Division, and SLED Crime Team Forensic Unit.
An autopsy is scheduled for Carlisle in Newberry, SC. The Coroner's Office and the North Augusta Department of Public Safety is continuing the investigation.
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WFXG) - The North Augusta Department of Public Safety is investigating after a dead body was found near Riverview Park.
According to a department spokesperson, officers responded to Riverview Park late Wednesday night in reference to a car crash. At the scene, officers found the driver of the car dead.
