Three men arrested for murder after body found in Burke County
BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WFXG) - Three men have been charged with murder after a body was found lying on the side of a county road.
On July 10, deputies responded to the 1200 block of Watkins Pond Rd. That's where they found the body of Morris Harden, Jr. of Augusta. An investigation reveled that Harden was shot and killed in a home on 9th Ave. in Augusta and his body dumped on Watkins Pond Rd.
The Burke County Sheriff's Office has arrested three men in connection to Harden's murder:
- Willie Warren Johnson, fifty-one years old, of Augusta. Charged with murder, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence.
- Carl Grady Rouse, sixty-one years old, of Augusta. Charged with murder, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence.
- Albert Killebrew, III, a homeless resident of Augusta. Charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Johnson and Rouse are booked into the Burke County Detention Center. Killbrew is at the Richmond County Detention Center on unrelated charges.
