ATLANTA (WFXG)- Georgia Governor Brain Kemp has extended the suspension of the state's gas tax.

According to Governor Kemp's Twitter, he says he's extending the suspension to alleviate the financial burden placed on Georgians. The previous order also suspended collection of the state sales tax on locomotive fuel, and this provision has also been extended.


The extension will go through September 12th. The last time Governor Kemp signed an extension was July 1st.
