ATLANTA (WFXG) - This summer, we're heading to places that are short drives from the CSRA. This week FOX54 went to a Braves Game at Truist Park. The park and the fun surrounding it are 160 miles from downtown Augusta.

The area around the park, known as The Battery, is filled with restaurants and shops so even if you don't have tickets to a game you can still come and find something to do.

We asked fans what their first stop is when they get into The Battery, one says he has a specific ritual.

One fan says, "The first thing I like to is honestly get a drink and ya know hang out," he says.

Being around Braves Country- even if you're not a baseball fan you'll want to feel apart of what's happening, "What's there not to love, the atmosphere, all the fans coming together cheering for the home team I mean it's awesome."

Tons of activities, there's live music on certain nights and an interactive water fountain.
With so many activities for the kids, it creates a ton of young fans.

One young fan says, "I love when I first walk through the gates I can smell the butter popcorn, the junk food and just a lot of energy."

Another fan adds, "Come to the games see all the people hanging out having a great time at the field and having fun here."

One of those young fans, Jack Johnson , "I never really paid attention much but the last three years I've been playing a lot of baseball and started loving them a lot more."
And after that World Series win, Johnson says, "jumping up and down screaming, we lost our minds."
He's a fan for life.
