AIKEN, S.C. (WFXG) - Neon Fig co-owners, Marvin Sterling and Cecelia Roust, wanted to add to Aiken's brunch scene. Sterling who is also the chef says, “Neon Fig is our idea of a fun, fresh brunch all day.”

Roust says, “I’m from here and so I’ve been living in Savannah for about 10 years and that’s where we met. As we’ve come back to visit here, the restaurant scene is growing and so we thought we could contribute more here.”

One of their goals is to get out the idea that brunch is just for the weekends, “We want to cater to more than one type of person some people are retired so they can go out any time of day.” Roust adds people in the service industry that work weekends can experience their brunch too. 

And there’s something for everyone on the menu. If you prefer sweet, Roust says one of their most popular menu items is the Captain Crunch French Toast. On the savory side, their take on the chicken biscuit. If you lean on the lunch side of brunch, their Neon Burger has brisket slices, cheddar cheese and more.

Neon Fig is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day -- except Tuesdays. The owners say their fun and welcoming environment and great food is all the reason to try it out. Sterling says, “we’re a fun hip environment.”
