AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Downtown Augusta is bustling with new businesses and one of the latest additions is Taste Wine Room.

Owner, Mark Guillory says, “Taste Wine Room is a wine bar and a tasting room. We also have some small plate charcuterie, pizzas that kind of thing.”

Taste wine bar opened two months ago and hopes to be your new happy hour spot. Guillory says, “I’ve always loved wine. I’ve studied wine for quite a while and just through traveling either in the states or abroad there’s always wine bars everywhere and Augusta didn’t have one.”

He adds it’s the perfect place for wine aficionados and beginners alike, “I don’t want people to be intimidated if they don’t know a lot about wine. Our staff is really knowledgeable to kind of guide you, "says Guillory.

Taste Wine Room has wines by the glass, by the bottle and tasting flights. They also have pizzas and  seven different cheeses and seven different meats that rotate every week.

Next time you’re in downtown Augusta they hope you’ll come in and sip back and relax.
Guillory says, “cause wine is life but no seriously I just want people to come in, experience new wines, learn about wines and just have a good time.”
