When she enlisted, her focus was mental health - so she could help soldiers deal with PTSD. Although she is working on her Master's degree in mental health, her primary focus has been testing and treating soldiers and veterans for the coronavirus.

Although she is a Specialist, also known as an E4, Anderson was promoted to be Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of the Influenza-like Illness Clinic.
