Two "Tigers" come in tied for second place at the 2022 Augusta National Women's Amateur
(AUGUSTA, Ga) -
A couple of "Tigers" tied for second on Saturday. Latanna Stone and Ingrid Lindblad are classmates at Louisiana State University.
While Stone was two strokes ahead with two to play, she had a double bogey on 17 and a bogey on 18 to come in just behind champion Anna Davis. Lindblad, shot a low final round score of 68 to join Stone tied at even par for the week.
"Just first tee shot, I was a little nervous, but I think 18 I was feeling it a bit because I just kind of made a dumb mistake on 17, but other than that, I was really comfortable out there. I was really confident, and I thought I played pretty well out there," said Latanna Stone.
Ingrid Lindblad said of her second round, "Today played seven shots better here than last year, which is kind of crazy. It's just an amazing week, and I didn't have my best on that second round, but coming out here, anything can happen. And with these last few players, everything can happen. I'm super excited to be here and happy about having a really good last round."
Amari Avery, Benedetto Moresco and Beatrice Wallin finished tied for fourth place.
