EAT.PLAY.GO. to Lights of the South
GROVETOWN, Ga. (WFXG) - What else says the holidays like Santa, hot chocolate and Christmas lights? FOX54’s Danielle Ledbetter goes to a place that has all that and more.
Lights of the South located in Grovetown is a Christmas lights spectacular. Rebecca Steiner with Lights of the South says, “There’s millions and millions I can’t even say the exact number but there’s millions of lights out here.”
This year is the first year all the lights are now LED which makes them bigger, brighter and more magical than previous years, according to Steiner.
In addition to the millions of lights, “You can go in Mrs. Claus kitchen and drink what I consider to be the world’s famous hot chocolate. It’s very good with many marshmallows,” says Steiner.
She adds, “You can go visit Santa and get your picture taken and talk to Santa about all of your wish list items.”
Even if you've seen the lights in previous years, “Every year it’s still magical and you come and it’s like your first time coming,” says Steiner. She says," If you've never been to Lights of the South, you definitely need to take a trip and come an visit us here.”
Lights of the South is open every day from 6p.m. until 10 p.m. They are closed on Christmas Day.
