GROVETOWN, GA (WFXG) - The 56th annual Columbia County Fair is happening now. The Merchant's Association of Columbia County puts the fair on every year.

Reynold Borseth, president of the association, says, “come out and have fun, bring ya family bring ya friends and have a good time. We’re so glad to be able to do this for our community.”

The Fair is at the Columbia County Fairgrounds in Grovetown. While some things have stayed the same, the fair has a few new activities this year including a magician, an aquatic acrobatic show and a returning favorite is the demolition derby.

You can have tons of fun at the fair but they still want to keep you safe. Borseth says, “you see the hand sanitations and we still have signs around recommending people be safe and social distance.”
Borseth also says keeping their focus on the family is what sets their fair apart from the others, “this is a family oriented fair. We keep it clean, safe and we have Columbia County ATV helping direct parking.”

The fair is open Thursday 5pm until 11pm, Friday 5pm until 12am, Saturday 12pm until 12am and Sunday 1pm until 10pm. Sunday is the last day the fair will be open for the season.
