AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - I hear this restaurant will make you feel like you’re near a beach. In this edition of Eat.Play.Go., we’re drifting away at Raw Drift Bar.

“Drift Raw Bar might be a little confusing. People might think it’s only raw food but in fact we have scallops, Cubans, we have salads. It’s a fusion restaurant.” Head Chef Dalton Slantis says the most popular menu item is the, “scallops for sure. I’ve been complimented on those numerous times.”

We tried so many things but one of my favorites was the Oysters Rockefeller. You could tell Chef Dalton Slantis definitely puts a lot of care into his food.

“I really wanted to make food and make people happy. When I see people take pictures of my food it lights me up.”

Oh my goodness the food was amazing. Everything was so good - from the shrimp to the bruschetta to the tartare. Drift Raw Bar also has an extensive bar and craft cocktails. And on Wednesdays, they have half-off bottles of wine.

Drift is located at 1009 Center St. in North Augusta.
