'Agent Game' wraps up filming in Augusta
AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Upcoming spy movie 'Agent Game' is wrapping up filming in the CSRA, and producer and writer Tyler Konney says you'd better buckle up. "If you like something that's got a little bit of mystery to it and a lot of action, this is going to be a great movie for you," he said.
The crew has been in the Augusta area for a little over a month between pre-production and filming, but Konney says their time here has been action-packed. "It's not everywhere that you can have a big explosion, bring in a helicopter or find a landing strip for a private jet," he said.
You might remember parts of Broad Street were shut down last month for filming, and several people spotted Mel Gibson shooting a scene. Some other notable members of the star-studded cast include Jason Isaacs, Barkhad Abdi and Katie Cassidy.
In between takes, Konney says the crew had a chance to try out some local spots. "We became sort of attached to a couple of places," he said. "I would say the Partridge Inn was really hospitable and The Pinnacle Club was a really great place to visit. Some great food and some great people."
'Agent Game' is expected to hit the big screen sometime next year.
