Jane Minar

Jane Minar joined the WFXG weather and news team in July 2019 as a meteorologist.

Jane is from Allentown, New Jersey and is excited to plant roots here in Augusta, Georgia. Like most in the weather world, Jane knew she wanted to be a meteorologist at a young age. She is passionate about weather communication and wants to teach, share and spark interest in the weather and the environment.

She graduated from Rutgers University in May 2019 where she received a B.S. in Meteorology and a Minor in Digital Communication. During her time at Rutgers University, Jane interned with the WNBC New York weather team where she assisted with the production and creation of graphics, constructed weather forecasts, and monitored social media. Jane was also a student meteorologist for RU-TV. Jane is looking forward to forecasting and covering weather events here in Augusta.

Outside of work, Jane enjoys exploring new places, cooking new recipes, and spending time with friends and family.
