Public Safety, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, SLED, the ATF and specialty response teams were all on scene. SLED is continuing to investigate, as the agency is involved whenever an officer-involved shooting happens.

According to SLED, this incident marks the 28th officer-involved shooting in South Carolina this year and it's the first involving officers with the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
