AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - The Augusta Blues Company is teaming up with "Kids Rock the Nation Foundation" to provide more musical instruments to one of the CSRA's performing arts schools.
On Friday, September 14, 2018, "Kids Rock The Nation Foundation" presented 10 brand new guitars to the students of Jessye Norman School of the Arts.
The new guitars will help expand the music department's educational opportunities and give students a new option to showcase their talents.
"Kids Rock the Nation Founder" told us that his passion to provide music education to children throughout the country is very personal.
"It's off the charts for me to be here at the Jessye Norman School of the Arts. This is a dream come true for me personally. I went through a cancer battle. I had a doctor save my life. This is why I'm doing what I'm doing. He asked me to go out and help kids with music and he saved my life. So, that's what I'm doing," said Anthony "KLEPPE" Wild, President of Kids Rock the Nation Foundation.
And Wild plans on coming back to the school within a year to check on this students' progress and have a jam session with them.
