AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Augusta Recreation and Parks hosted a swim and dive-in movie on July 21. The family friendly event was part of July's Recreation and Parks month. It was free to the public.
While children played in the pool and slid on a blow-up water slide, hot dogs were being cooked on the grill. There were prizes given out as well.
This was the third year for the event. Stokeland Temple Number 22 sponsors it.
The main event was a showing of Disney's Finding Dory. The movie was projected on the wall next to the pool. Everyone in attendance was invited to float in the water while they watched the movie. Organizers say that is the most exciting part of the pool party.
Chrislynne Kuhlke, Recreation Supervisor, said, "They have a great time. It's great to watch a movie while you are in the pool relaxing."
