SARDIS, GA (WFXG) - Four people are behind bars after a drug bust in Burke County.
Shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, the Burke County Narcotics Division, Special Operations Division, CID, Sardis Police Department, and the District Attorney's Office executed search warrants on two homes in Sardis.
At a home on the 800 block of Bell Street, officers found 3 suspects: Alfred Heath, Alajuwon Chance, and Treyon Booner. Inside the home, investigators found marijuana-flavored suckers, approximately 160 grams of marijuana, digital scales, and packing material. All 3 suspects in the home were on probation: Heath for armed robbery, Chance for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and Booner for aggravated assault. The suspects were identified as members of the Gangster Disciple Street Gang. They have been charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and felony unlawful street gang activity.
The 4th suspect was located at another home on South Hill Street: James Louis Crews. He has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
