AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - A crash involving a school bus Monday morning backed up traffic on Peach Orchard Road in Augusta.

The crash happened at around 6:22 a.m. and involved a Richmond County school bus and one other vehicle. According to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, the school bus driver attempted to turn left onto Morning Drive and pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The two people in the vehicle were taken to Augusta University Medical Center with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff's office says the bus driver is at fault for failing to yield for a stop sign. Kaden Jacobs with the Richmond County School System says no students were on board at the time of the crash.
