Junior golfers play for pink

This weekend golfers on the US Kids Local Tour played with a purpose at the Mount Vintage Plantation Golf Club in North Augusta.

Boys and girls were head to toe in pink supporting breast cancer patients and raise awareness. Nine year old Caroline Hawkins played in the tournament in honor of her grandmother who is a breast cancer survivor. She says her grandmother is a big supporter.  "She gives me pep talks when I get sad and she always comforts me."

Organizers say US Kids Golf is all about teaching young people that good manners and honor is important in the game of golf. "They're really just putting someone else above their games and above themselves", explains Ellen Dunn who is the Tournament Director
