UPDATE: Manhunt continues for Beech Island shooting suspect

BEECH ISLAND, SC (WFXG) - A shooting in Beech Island has left one man wounded.

Aiken County Sheriff's Office officials confirm the shooting happened at around 1:56 a.m. Monday morning. Respondents reported to the 200 block of Cary Drive in Beech Island, SC where one man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

There is a gas station near where the victim was found, however, authorities say they don't believe the shooting occurred at there. No suspects have been named at this time. Aiken County dispatch says that a portion of Sand Bar Ferry Rd. was shut down, but is now clear. Traffic should not be an issue when traveling through that area.
