2nd round of community meetings to come for Downtown Improvement Project

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - The 2nd round of meetings for the TIA-funded Downtown Improvement Project have been scheduled.

The consultants of the project will be presenting plans and concepts for 6th St., James Brown Blvd., Broad St. and 13th St. Policy issues for parking management, traffic circulation, streetscapes and lighting are also to be discussed. The meetings will take place Nov. 15 at Julian Smith Casino and Nov. 16 in the Linda W. Beazley Community Room at the Augusta Municipal Building starting at 6 p.m. both days.

There will also be a temporary office set up  for citizens to drop in, ask questions and give opinions from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both meeting days.
