AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WFXG) - UPDATE: A high-speed chase from Richmond to Aiken County ended with the driver's arrest.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, the chase began on I-20 at Washington Road when a deputy attempted to stop the gold Ford F150 driven by twenty-two-year-old Jacob Craven of Beech Island. Craven reportedly was not wearing a seatbelt and refused to stop for deputies. The chase ran up I-20 and through Graniteville, eventually coming to an end on Chalk Bed Road.

The specifics of Craven's apprehension have not been released, but we do know a deputy's taser was deployed during the arrest. Craven has outstanding warrants for meth distribution in Richmond County. The female passenger has not been charged.

No injuries are reported as a result of this chase. The Aiken County Sheriff's Office assisted with the pursuit. We will continue to follow the story and update with any new information.

Editor's note: We initially reported that two suspects were arrested. Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody, but the passenger was not charged.
