Cunningham Drive shooting suspect enters not guilty plea

LINCOLN COUNTY, GA (WFXG) - The suspect in the Cunningham Drive shooting entered a not guilty plea in court Friday.

Shanadore Harman was arrested after investigators said Harman shot and killed Brittany Trantham, 21. Officials said deputies were called to Cunningham Drive after hearing reports of shots.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Harman, trying to hide under a tree. When deputies took Harman into custody, they found a handgun under him, and they also found fired cartridge casings in the roadway.

Deputies were later called to Georgia Regent's Medical Center for a person who arrived with a gunshot wound. Officials said Trantham, 21, had been taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. Trantham died from her the gunshot wound.

Officials said during interviews, learned the two incidents were connected. Deputies found another victim, Jermaz Lawson, 28, and found out Lawson and Harman were cousins, who had recently been involved in an argument. Officials said the argument ended on Cunningham Dr. when Harman shot at the car Lawson and Trantham were riding in.

Harman faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
