Aiken Dept. of Public Safety looking for shooting suspect

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) - The Aiken Department of Public Safety is asking for assistance in locating Glendale McLaurin Jr. for his involvement in a shooting incident that occurred on December 29, 2015.

On Tuesday, December 29 at 6:30 pm, Public Safety Officers responded to a business on the 1100 block of York St. in Aiken for an individual who suffered from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The 36 year old victim stated while walking on Crossland Drive, two individuals assaulted him.

The victim was transported by EMS to Georgia Regent's Medical Center from the scene, and has since been released.

Investigators have identified Glendale McLaurin Jr. as a suspect in the incident.  Officials said the second suspect has not yet been identified. Detectives are actively investigating the incident, and additional arrests may be made in the future.

An warrant for Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature has been issued for McLaurin Jr's arrest. Anyone with any further information related to this incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372). Callers can remain anonymous, and could be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1000.
