Three injured in Aiken Co. crash in stolen car

AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WFXG) - An early morning high-speed chase ends in a crash that injures three, and deputies say the vehicle they were in was stolen.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call around 3:20 a.m. about a suspicious person being followed by a vehicle in Graniteville. When they arrived, they spotted the suspect vehicle speeding along Sudlow Lake drive, and followed it to Langley Dam Road, where it crashed into a tree.

Aiken County EMS, Langley Fire Department, and SC Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. Three people were extricated from the car. They were unresponsive and transported to an area hospital. We haven't been told of their condition.

Investigators say the vehicle the three were in, an Acura SUV, had been stolen from the Aiken Department of Public Safety jurisdiction. Deputies aren't releasing the identities of the suspects while they continue to investigate.
