AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is on the scene and investigating after a Richmond County Narcotics Investigator died after a shooting at the Augusta Mart on Martin Luther King Blvd. at 12th Street.
The sheriff’s office tells FOX 54 that Investigator Cecil Ridley was conducting a proactive patrol in the neighborhood when the shooting occurred. They say the call came in on Nov. 19 around 8:23 p.m. The proactive patrol is part of Sheriff Roundtree’s initiative to lower gun violence.
