AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau had an official ribbon cutting Friday for their new space, Augusta & Co.
This new center was made to appeal to visitors and locals. It offers featured tastings with local brewers, work from local artists, book signings by Augusta authors.
Jennifer Bowen, Vice President of Destination Development, says Augusta and Co. will help locals spread the word about their hometown.
“To be in a big visible, friendly, middle of the activity kind of place so that people can really see us and let us tell them what there is to see and do. It also will develop some community pride for us, the more people know about their community, the more prideful they are in it and the more they’re willing to tell others about it,” Bowen said.
According to a press release from the company, it is “just as much an interactive hub, this new communal space will provide visitors with the opportunity to engage with local Augustans, as well.”
Augusta & Co. will be open seven days a week. You can visit the store to find out the latest events and to buy local made goods.
