Aiken Technical College announces the speaker for its 2019 commencement ceremony

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) - Aiken Technical College will have its 2019 commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. at the USC Aiken Convocation Center, 2049 Champion Way, Graniteville.

Dr. Thomas J. Clark, executive director of the CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon, will be the keynote speaker for the ceremony. As the executive director, he promotes and advocates for the Fort Gordon Cyber District and encourages support of cyber opportunities in the local region.

More than 400 students have been approved for graduation, including a dozen Midland Valley High School seniors who will be the first cohort to graduate from the College’s Early College program. Students enrolled in the Early College program begin taking college-level courses the summer before their sophomore year toward earning an Associate in Arts and/or Associate in Science degree.

During the ceremony, the college will also recognize its Faculty Member of the Year and Staff Member of the Year.
