AUGUSTA, GA. (WFXG) - The two people accused of killing 17-year-old Roshawn White in September appeared before Judge Ashley Wright Friday.

Arquette Jones, 16, entered a not guilty plea. Jones and his cousin, Nigel Robinson, are accused of shooting White in front of S & S Food Store in the 2600 block of Barton Chapel Road.

In court back in October, prosecutors said White was shot twice with a .357 revolver during an altercation over a bag he was carrying. Prosecutors said that gun was inside the bag.

Eighteen-year-old Nigel Robinson was supposed to be arraigned Friday, as well, however, Judge Wright carried it over until next week because he does not have an attorney and faces “serious charges.”

Back in October, prosecutors said surveillance video from the store shows Robinson grabbed White, pushed him up against the wall of the store as they struggled over the bag that was holding the gun. Prosecutors say the video shows that Robinson then shot White on the left side of his chest and right forearm.

White later died at a local hospital. Both Jones and Robins face charges of malice murder, felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
